Saturday night and what was Kira doing? Working, of course, not that she was complaining about this particular work. Waiting tables in this coffee shop sucked in her opinion, but getting the chance to play was worth it. Her boss was upset that she was late, but it wasn't her fault she didn't have money for a cab and therefore almost got mugged. He should be glad she was okay!

She was just starting her last song, Patiently, when she noticed the woman she assumed to be Sarah Blake. She'd probably been there the whole time and Kira just hadn't noticed her in her late rushing around. This was the woman she didn't even know, but had offered to pay for her birthday trip back to Reefside next week, so the least she could do is invite her for a performance. It made her feel better about the whole thing, like the plane ticket would be her payment, since she wasn't actually getting paid for this.

And so, she sang in Sarah's general direction as she finished up the song.

She shook Sarah's hand and gave what she hoped was a smile without the hint of nervousness she felt. "Same to you."

As soon as she smiled Sarah knew that their was nervousness being spread across the air.With knowing this Sarah spoke to her gently ensuring that she knew that she didn't have to feel like this when she was around people,Sarah in particular.
Pointing to the chair that was placed next to her she spoke again,finally finding her voice.
"Please,it would be a great pleasure if you'd sit with me unless you have to go back on stage tonight."

Kira shook her head and carefully took a seat.

"No, all done." She took the time to smooth her skirt, which was probably a nervous habit. She wasn't sure what to say. "So did you like it?"

As Kira messed with her shirt,Sarah placed her hand on top of hers and spoke.
"It's okay to be nervous,but you seriously don't have to be.Liked it...I loved it."

"Thanks." She smiled at the other woman while she tried to think of something to say. "And thanks for the ticket. Seriously, you have no idea how much it means."

"There's no need to thank me.Having me here for the evening though, is a great opportunity.I was meant to be working for my father this evening but I got a better offer.I can't thank you enough."
Sarah just smiled at the person sitting next to her,thinking about the evening they were going to enjoy together.

She grinned a little. Good, this was good. "You don't like your job, or just glad for a break?"

"I love my job.The men I sometimes have to work with though remind me too much of my father.Has more money then sense. How about you?I bet you love you singing job."Sarah then pointed to the stage to emphasise her point.

Kira shrugged. "Not really a job if it doesn't pay. But yeah, I love it. It makes the work I actually do around here worth it."

"When you were up there though I have to say everyone's eyes were on you.You were the centre of attention you should think about doing it as a profession. You should come up to one of the auction houses and sing at one of our auctions.I'd have to ask my dad about it first though."

"Really?" The invitation surprised her almost as much as the plane ticket. "Didn't know auctions had entertainment."

"We don't usually but I get a bit sick and tired of being the one on show it'd be nice to have someone else about who could bring the contractors in. So how about it."Sarah smiled,putting her hand over her newly friends one.
