Power Rangers Dino Thunder
Summary of Cannon History
Kira Ford started off her senior year of high school by getting detention for playing her guitar on school grounds without written permission. Teacher Dr. Thomas Oliver was put in charge of detention, but he already had plans to visit a nearby museum. He took her and fellow detention students Conner McKnight and Ethan James along, telling them that if they found anything prehistoric around the grounds that he would cancel detention for the rest of the week. They discovered a secret underground lab and took the gems on display. Kira picked up the yellow, which gave her a sonic scream similar to that of Black Canary.
The teens decided not to tell tell their teacher about what happened, but later after Kira was kidnapped by Mesogog, the boys went to Dr. Oliver for help, only to discover the lab they found was his basement. After Kira escaped from Mesogog, the three became the Dino Thunder team of Power Rangers.
Kira had romantic interest in Trent Fernandez, waiter at Hayley's Cyberspace Cafe and adoptive son of Anton Mercer. When Trent became the evil White Dino Ranger, Kira was the first one he told. She was also the first to forgive him when the evil power of the gem was broken and he joined their team.
Sometime after this, she and the other Dino Rangers fought the Red, Yellow and Blue Wind Rangers, who had been turned evil by Lothor. After the Thunder and Samurai Rangers released their friends from the spell, both teams fought the combined forces of Lothor and Mesogog. There was also a battle alongside the S.P.D. Rangers, though the memory of this was erased.
In the final battle against Mesogog, she and the other Rangers used all the power of the Dino Gems to defeat him. She kept her sonic scream because the gem had bonded with her DNA. Soon after she and her band played at their senior prom.
At her one year high school reunion, Kira, Conner and Ethan were brought to the year 2025 by Broodwing, a villain who had purchased their Dino Gems in hopes of an alliance against S.P.D. and Emperor Gruumm, but the Rangers sided with S.P.D. After winning the battle, Kira is told that she would live her dream of becoming a famous singer, but when she returned to her own time she had no memory of anything that had happened while in the future.
When the Operation Overdrive Rangers lose their link to the Morphing Grid, Kira was one of the Rangers chosen by the Sentinel Knight to defend Earth in their absence. Her Ranger powers were restored and it's implied that even after the Operation Overdrive Rangers regain their powers that Kira still has them. Before she left Operation Overdrive, she mentioned she was working on a CD.
Though based on canon she should be hitting it big by now, for the purpose of roleplay I'm saying she's still a struggling musician living in New York City.
